When it comes to hair and skincare, you can’t go wrong with the natural route. With this in mind, essential oils can really get you places on your beauty journey when incorporated into your routine correctly. I know that there are many that disagree with me, but luckily, there are those who are starting to get on board the essential oil train. It’s become rather trendy to try a variety of essential oil sets in your hair and skincare routines – and with many a positive result!
My favorite combination of essential oils is a rosemary, lemon, and lavender essential oils. These oils don’t necessarily need to be combined together, but when they come together in an essential oil set, you’ve got yourself quite the beauty kit, the all natural way.
Let me break down how you can use this essential oil set to your best advantage.
Lemon Essential Oil
Besides for its refreshing scent, lemon essential oil is a powerful addition to your essential oil set in terms of your skincare. This is thanks to its balancing properties that help to rebalance your sebum production, as well as shrink your pores and leave your skin truly hydrated without being oily. You have to know how to use it right though in order to see results, as it’s quite a potent oil. Use a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or mix a couple drops of lemon oil into your regular moisturizer to harness balanced and even skin tone.
Rosemary Essential Oil
One of my favorite essential oils for hair that must be included in everyone’s essential oil set is rosemary essential oil. This oil is the ideal addition for your hair care routine. It’s known for its hair growth properties and anti-dandruff qualities. This is largely due to the fact that it balances your scalp, allowing for healthy hair growth. An often overlooked aspect of hair care is scalp health. The truth of the matter is that a healthy scalp is the foundation of healthy hair.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lastly, but in no way least, is lavender essential oil. No essential oil set, whether for beauty or anything else, is complete without this truly versatile essential oil. I personally like to add a few drops of lavender essential oil into both my shampoo and facial moisturizer to balance my skin and give my hair an extra glow. Some people don’t enjoy the floral scent of this oil, and if that’s the case, then there are plenty of other oils to try, or just put fewer drops into your concoction to reap the benefits without the heavy fragrance.
I recently gave a friend of mine an essential oil gift set that contained all these oils with a personal breakdown of how to use each oil in her beauty routine and she loved it! Try it for yourself and see how your beauty routine becomes more eco-friendly, holistic, and wholesome! Your hair and skin will thank you for it.
